Employment: Temporary
We are currently seeking individuals for temporary positions to play a pivotal role in the efficient management of food and beverage, materials, supplies, and equipment within our organization. As part of our team, your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, classifying, storing, and ensuring the proper care of food and beverage items, materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Verifying materials received against invoices, identifying breakages, and noting discrepancies in quantity or quality.
- Entering and processing supplier invoices into the Purchasing system.
- Assisting in the maintenance of inventory records.
- Developing effective methods and procedures for handling, storing, and rotating stock.
- Taking necessary precautions to prevent stock deterioration or spoilage.
- Overseeing the loading, unloading, and dispatching of delivery trucks.
- Physically handling loading and unloading at pick-up, delivery, or distribution points as needed.
- Packing, unpacking, counting, weighing, and measuring materials, supplies, and equipment upon receipt when required.
- Selecting supplies from shelves to fulfill requisitions, including lifting and carrying supplies when necessary.
- Operating hand trucks, carts, and lifting equipment when needed.
- Maintaining storage facilities, loading docks, and materials in an organized and orderly manner.
- Assisting in data preparation for departmental reports, inventory, or studies.
- Maintaining daily records, filing, and preparing reports.
- Expediting outstanding purchase orders.
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP guidelines and determining the best storage methods.
- Upholding HACCP Standards and participating in monthly meetings.
- Providing recommendations and suggestions for addressing space, delivery, issuance, and stock control challenges.
- Active participation in departmental meetings.
- Supporting colleagues in various aspects related to purchasing, receiving, distribution, and shipping.
Salary: AED 3,500 to 4,000 per month, inclusive of fixed allowances.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Senior School qualification or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a hotel environment, particularly in stores and receiving sections.
- Familiarity with Purchasing Systems.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office applications such as Word and Excel.
