Job Description:
Position: Lead Mechanical Engineer (Full Time)
Charterhouse is collaborating with a prominent regional energy company specializing in Oil & Gas operations. Our client is actively seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to take charge of on-shore mechanical operations support.
The Lead Mechanical Engineer will assume responsibility for overseeing all designated mechanical technical tasks, including Rotating and Static Equipment inspections, and ensuring that the team’s deliverables align with operational requirements.
In this role, you will manage a team of three Mechanical Engineers, overseeing operational integrity, safety-critical elements, and safety-critical equipment to maintain the highest levels of mechanical discipline.
As a vital member of the Operations Support Team, you will provide expert guidance in all business processes, ensuring projects are executed within set timelines and budgets. Additionally, the Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for effective change management, adhering to established change management standards.
This Lead Engineer will collaborate with the Engineering Department to ensure that maintainability is a key consideration when specifying, procuring, and installing new or replacement equipment.
Requirements:
To be eligible for this position, candidates must be seasoned Mechanical Engineers at a management level with a minimum of 15 years’ experience, specifically within an operating company with a focus on the design and maintenance of on-shore rotating machinery.
The ideal candidate should possess relevant experience in the design and construction of hydrocarbon processing/utilities plants and a thorough understanding of associated codes and standards. A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an internationally recognized University is required. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate strong leadership abilities and familiarity with remote working environments.
